CORE SLEEP SEMINAR

Our core seminar covering good sleep practices is 3 hours and costs £425 to run at a client’s venue for up to 20 delegates. Seminars are presented by either Vanessa Moore or Carol Prideaux but usually (bookings permitting) we aim to jointly present the session.

The content for this seminar covers common behavioural sleep issues in children. The seminar can be tailored to the client’s audience e.g. a specific age range (early years, school age children, teens) and children with or without additional needs.

This seminar is suitable for parents and carers who have sleep issues with their children and for professionals supporting families with sleep issues. They can be run as either a parent or professional group or as a mixed audience.

In the first part of the seminar we look at the importance of sleep, how much sleep and the types of sleep issues related to the audience, leading on to why good sleep practices are important for children and the impact of poor sleep on both the child and the family.

In the second part of the seminar we look at good sleep practises and specific sleep strategies that address the more common sleep issues. We also look at when and where to get help and demonstrate a range of resources (which we bring with us for delegates to browse before and after the seminar) such as books, clocks, toys, DVDS, CDS and other sleep equipment that can be used to support sleep issues.

A full sleep resource pack containing the seminar slides and hand-outs expanding on the information contained in the seminar, examples of bedtime routines and sleep diary pages, relevant newspaper articles, details of where resources that we have referred to can be purchased and a list of other useful organisations who can help with sleep is given to each delegate. We provide up to 20 packs per seminar. Additional packs for more than 20 delegates are charged at £5 each.

At the end of the seminar we aim to be available for 30 minutes so that delegates can discuss any individual sleep issues they have. We cannot give detailed advice, but we can refer them to the strategies presented in the seminar in relation to the sleep issues they may be experiencing.

SEMINAR COST

BESPOKE SLEEP SEMINARS

If the clients brief cannot be met in our core seminar then we can develop a bespoke session for you. In order to be able to quote for this we would need to know the aims for your training, audience, numbers involved, content and an idea of delivery time.

Seminars are presented by either Vanessa Moore or Carol Prideaux but usually (bookings permitting) we aim to jointly present the session.

PARTNERSHIP WORKSHOPS AND TRAINING SESSIONS

We are happy to discuss partnership working with clients to find ways to deliver sleep seminars or training within their training budget. Where the client is able to provide a free venue where 2SLEEP can run a sleep seminar and market and sell spaces we will offer the client a number of free parent or professional spaces at the session in return for the provision of the venue.

Alternative ideas for partnership working are always most welcome.
